Hello fellas, As we promised the blog will reflect two faces
of the same coin and as we proceed we will discuss the problems India is
facing, ultimately is a mix of economic, social and violence issues broadly but
which country does not have issues and what are they doing to curb it is the
real question to be asked. Anyways I don’t want to bore my viewers with what
happened in Cricket match yesterday so let’s proceed with the main indicative
silver lined problem that may be a tamed elephant now but what happen when the
beast is unleashed.
Population
Predictable? Yeah it is the Country with 2nd
largest population in the world and density wise 7th, though China
is there but China is not that dense and there are rules in China under which 2nd
child is chargeable (seriously it is). And as a matter of fact in India also
there was a sterilization program started in 1970 and closed in the same year
due to many political factors.
Though the population is a problem at the same time it is
important to observe that India holds the most number of people within the age
of 20 – 35 in age which if used in a systematic way can become a super power.
Poverty
It is interesting to know that as per international standard
poverty line; around 40 % of Indian population comes under the poor zone which
is one of the greatest problems a country could face. There are many schemes
and NGO which are working for the benefits of this problem, Like the Food bill
which allow these low income families to purchase basic food at lower cost
(real cheap price) must say the government is doing their part.
Corruption
Another hurdle in the development story of a country,
Poverty as we discussed is usually the outcome of corruption as we speak. India
is really famous (Not in a Good way) for its political bribery scandals which
occurs every here and there, the amount of black money in India is supposed to
be more than the white (sounds weird huh) not bookish but fact. However there
are numerous attempts made and in progress to change it like the Lokpal Bill,
which is passed last month and we believe it may bring in justice to this
problem.
Social Problems
These are a major
cause to worry, with the modern culture blooming the nation there are many
groups who hamper it in the name of caste or cultural restrictions; India is
known for unity in diversity but at the same time it faces a real challenge to
remove these spots of politics on the basis of the pity issues that creates
terror among people, unemployment, illiteracy like problems. Many NGOs and new
leaders are handling and educating people to create One India.
There are many other issues intact but as a citizen of this
Nation and my personal observation it is the best country to deal and live in.
I love this place.
