“Yahan Do India
baste hai saab ji, Ek aapka , ek humara !!”
India,
world’s largest democracy. Let’s start with something that interest and bores
everyone, Politics. I know most of us are thinking about Mr. Kejriwal, “Mr.
Hotspot” unless you are in politics. Well I always wonder what type of
democracy do we live in where we don’t have right to choose the leader?
Confused….??
Let’s
break the whole process in steps down, Well you start from being a party worker
, then you do all what is required to get the ticket to fight election. So
being a citizen, do I get to decide whom the ticket will go to, probably not.
Is
this why we see Rahul Gandhi may become PM candidate? Where is my say in that,
I don’t remember anyone coming to my doorsteps to ask on this issue. So we are
Indians, we do not vote on the basis of the leader, but we vote to the party. I
know many will disagree, but ultimately it is the truth.

And
then comes someone like Arvind Kejriwal, Educated, hard working, awesome public
speaker who unlike other politician is actually educated from a world renowned
university. Who speak what is called the people’s language; say things that
normal politicians can’t even dare to think about. He was ambushed, tried and
still somehow found a way to say what he wanted to, one of the Indian of modern
age to use the right to speech to the edge, like a pro. So how come he fits in
the definition of being in the second India? Well, He never wished to join politics,
all he wanted to empower general citizen like him with a tool to restrict
corruption, the “Jan Lokpal Bill”. He comes from a normal but educated family,
though has the privilege to join IRS but he nailed it on his own. He was jailed
for his support to crusader for anti corruption, the very well known Anna
Hazare.
Everyone have their views and thinking based
on the experience. That depicts an individual’s personality and behavior. We talk about corruption all the time, We
talk about the tedious government process, traffic, unhygienic environment,
etc. But the problem is we do nothing about it, we are speaker not achievers.
It starts from day one of our understanding, we are being taught to dodge not
to remove the obstacle. We are not generous but we do act, we are no kind but
we do react in public (for the sake of our image of course). We are Indians,
who gets so irate with the government not acting on his problem, choose the
short way out and ends up getting used to talking short cuts.
Personally
I feel our country is divided into states, there is no One India. It does sound
like a telecom company’s plan. I don’t see people helping each other, as they are
afraid of getting stuck in with legal system, you know Police with Danda. We
live in a country where politicians wants there say in everything, be it
education, be it poverty, be it poverty of other nation, be it insecurity,
crime, wars etc. just think of an issue and there will be someone throwing
philosophy on it. But do they really care about ? I will like to leave this
question to your observations as we have divided the country into parts, one
with the ability to think, react, try and rationalize things and one who likes
to sit, work as they were, and don’t give a damn but complain about the problem
being there.
Which part do you belong to?
