RINGA RINGA ROSES A POCKET FULL OF PHANTOMS: RAJASHTHAN

RINGA RINGA ROSES A POCKET FULL OF PHANTOMS: RAJASHTHAN

Will you ever visit a place which is especially marked by the ASI? I am asking about it because we all know that when some place is sanctioned by ASI, then that particular place is truly a disturb area in one way or the other. It always interests and increase the curiosity of a normal person when we discuss about ghost or stories related to it. Now, Rajasthan is a place which is not only beautiful but marked with haunted places. Rajasthan is a colourful state, their culture is full of colours and their hospitality reaches its crest. Rajasthan was the resident of the royal Rajputanas and the reason why there are myriads of forts can be found and the reason for being one of the most visited places by the tourists. But the rich culture and the magnificent forts are not the only reason that makes Rajasthan so popular; there are quite few places here which are famous for their paranormal activities.

THE MOTHER OF ALL HAUNTED PLACE

FIG: BHANGARH

If we Google for the most haunted place in India, the first name which appears on the screen is Bhangarh. Now it is a ruin fort but it is believed to be magnificent and an example of true artistry. The history tells us that Bhangarh was established during 1573 and was occupied by Madho Singh and the fort was into ruins around the year of 1783. The fort and the city were completely devastated by then; various mysterious myths are associated with the ruins. Myths say that once there was a saint who was famous for his anger and his curse on others. Bits and pieces of this myth says that, the saint cursed the town saying that whenever the shadow of the reaches him, the town and its people will meet their end. And thus it is believed that when Bhangarh reaches its heights of the prosperity, it perished along with the people.

The other story is about the princess Ratnavati of Bhangargh. It was believed that her beauty was timeless before she reached the age of eighteen and thus she started to get early marriage proposals from every corner of the country. It is someway obvious to assume that when there is a beautiful princess then there must be an exciting story and so thus the story of princess Ratnavati. Now there was a tantrik, who was known for his wickedness and sorcery. Somehow he began to admire the beauty of princess Ratnavati and at the end, the goodness become into jealousy and thus he began to plan for achieving her with every possible means. One day he put some magic spell in the scented oil, which will be utilized by her. But princess saw him and she threw the oil but the oil landed upon the rocks and the rocks began to crushed the tantric. While ending his life, he cursed the town and the people that they will all die a miserable life and the town will not be able to prosper or occupy anyone ever and it did happened at the end.

Now the myths and stories apart, this place is not considered to be a sited place after the nightfall as per the ASI. Bhangargh has such an melancholy ending that the souls of the people are still trapped in the area and they do not allow others to enter, especially the fort is supposed to be very active with the paranormal activities.

Bhangargh is marked as one of the most haunted place but tourists have never complaint about any injury as such. It is actually sad for such a beautiful place to be remained unoccupied and it must have been hard for the souls too, to remain trapped here. What has become of the beauty of the princess which was supposed to be matchless, why it always happen that beauty brings the downfall.
Many paranormal researchers have been visited this place and they have tried to examine the place and their experience was horrible. They have noticed every possible heights of unusualness, and the reason why the government itself has closed the place after the nightfall.

THE VILLAGE WHICH IS STILL LIVING A CURSED LIFE

FIG: REMAINS OF KULDHARA

History refolds that during 1825, Kuldhara village was coming to its ruins. For seven century, Paliwal Brahmins were living a prosperous life in the village. But the ruler was cruel and greedy and under his greed, he began to force high tax and thus the 84 extended villages left the place with their few handfuls of belongings and the other version tells us that the ruler was trying to marry a girl forcefully and in order to save the girl, all the 84 village left in the night taking just their hands can hold and while leaving they cursed the village that no one will prosper in this village and thus till now the village is unoccupied.

The look of village is nothing less than a haunted studio for a movie. Some villagers have tried to settle here but their roofs would fall off mysteriously and other unexplainable activities. Strong hearted people have tried to stay in the village during the night but they have faced the most horrible situation. They heard crying, calling names, apparition and they even felt someone touching them.

The village is now under the look of government. It is now preserved as a heritage site because we can see almost the village of 18th century. We can see how they used to live; we can even find utensils in the kitchen. kuldhara is a perfect place to know the lifestyle of the people of those days, so if you are interested in old culture and customs and wanted to examine it for yourself then, this is the place because Kuldhara has never been inhibited since the mysterious night of the disappearance of the whole 84 villages together.

THE DISCIPLINED MR.BURTON

FIG: THE BRIJ RAJ BHAVAN PALACE

We all know that, while alive if a person is cruel then he will be just the same if he still resides in this living world and so does it goes for the good ones. Now let’s meet Mr. Burton, a disciplined major of 18th century. He was killed during the 1857 sepoys mutiny in the Brij Raj Bhavan Palace, which was preserved as a heritage hotel in the 1980s. Mr. Burton was murdered along with his two sons in the central hall of the bhavan and since then he has not been able to leave the hall which is turns into a drawing room. We have statements from former Maharani of Kota, she has told the British journalist that she often see the apparition of Mr. Burton in this room and may be this is because he died in this room which used to be hall during those days.

Nobody has complaint about any injury from him but he often slaps the guard who sleeps during the duty hours. It is funny but he was a major and their discipline does not allow any flaws and that is why when he takes the rounds during night, he slaps the guard who are taking naps instead of guarding the Bhavan. So if you are planning to visit the Brij Raj Bhavan Palace, do not loiter around are do not even think of being mischief because even if the guards are not noticing it someone more superior and eligible person, the disciplined Major Burton is looking out for you.
